About Somewhere New Foundation

Somewhere New Foundation arose from what was missing in our communities: accessible, compassionate support for survivors and those reentering society. Founded by artist and advocate Ashley Dubose in Longville, Louisiana, we serve the vast rural corridor of Beauregard, Calcasieu, and Cameron Parishes—places where the nearest help can be hours away, not blocks.

We believe everyone deserves safety, dignity, and a chance at new beginnings. Our foundation bridges the gap for individuals in crisis, connecting them to vital resources, safe havens, and guidance as they rebuild their lives. Committed to hope and healing, we are a beacon in the rural South.

Our Services

We provide a lifeline in rural Louisiana—offering crisis response, navigation support, advocacy, and safe housing for survivors of violence and individuals reentering the community.

Our Mission

Our mission is to ensure no individual in Beauregard, Calcasieu, or Cameron Parishes stands alone during crisis or reentry. We are committed to dismantling rural barriers, connecting people with hope, resources, and safe places—so they can start somewhere new. Our work builds safer, more compassionate communities where recovery and healing are possible for all.
